About Ryan Thomas Founder| North Shore Concrete, LLC
Ryan Thomas is the Founder and CEO of North Shore Concrete, LLC, a Northbrook, Illinois–based concrete and asphalt company built on disciplined leadership, operational excellence, and long-term value creation.
Before entering the construction industry, Ryan spent more than 20 years in senior executive leadership roles within the global technology and services sector. He held leadership positions at companies including Dimension Data, PCM, Burroughs, and Presidio, where he built and led high-performing sales and operations teams across the United States. His work supported Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 organizations and required close coordination across sales, engineering, logistics, procurement, and service delivery.
In 2021, Ryan founded North Shore Concrete after identifying a gap in the Midwest market: construction firms delivering solid fieldwork but lacking professional management, strategic planning, and accountability. Drawing from his executive background, he built North Shore Concrete from the ground up with a focus on process, safety, communication, and consistency—bringing structure and transparency to an industry that often operates without it.
Ryan’s leadership experience spans enterprise sales, strategic account management, contract negotiation, supply chain coordination, and organizational scaling. He has launched new regions, developed leadership teams, and guided organizations through periods of growth, operational change, and economic uncertainty. These experiences directly inform how North Shore Concrete operates today.
In addition to North Shore Concrete, Ryan previously founded and served as CEO of Stratus Point Global, where he oversaw company strategy, hiring, vendor partnerships, financial management, and client engagement—further sharpening his entrepreneurial mindset and operational discipline.
Ryan holds a Global Executive MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a double major in Management and Kinesiology. Prior to his business career, he competed at the professional level as a pitcher in the San Diego Padres organization, earning All-Star recognition at the Double-A level. The discipline, accountability, and teamwork required in professional athletics continue to shape his leadership philosophy.
Ryan resides in Northbrook, Illinois, where he remains actively involved in the day-to-day leadership of North Shore Concrete with a long-term vision focused on sustainable growth, strong teams, and enduring client trust.
